Colin Davidson's portrait of poet Michael Longley wins award

Congratulations to Colin Davidson on winning the Visitor's Choice Award at this year's BP Portrait Award exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery, London, for his portrait of Belfast-born poet, Michael Longley. Davidson's portrait, The Dialects of Silence (Portrait of Michael Longley), stunningly depicts the poet in a state of deep contemplation and tranquility. Michael Longley recently won the DLR Poetry Now Award for his collection, A Hundred Doors.
