Beyond the Book: A new era of reading

Our personal modes of access to arts and culture shift dramatically with the progression of time and new innovative techniques of dispersal. For instance, it took music approximately 50 years to evolve from a round-topped jukebox to a portable MP3 player. Nevertheless, with change, opinions collide. The greater accessibility to music online created an insatiable appetite for instant downloads, but a departure from hard copy formats such as CDs.
Stories, books, and poems have been around for as long as music, but now is the time when prose and poetry publications go digital in the same way that music once transformed. It is now the books’ turn to morph into a more easily accessible “click-of-the-button” download.
Here at the WFU Press, we are eager to find new ways of sharing our poetry so that our readers will enjoy the benefits of digital publishing. We are not turning away from physical books, but instead offering the option of downloadable e-books which will soon include access to supplementary material such as images, reviews, and recitations by the poet. Our goal is to preserve the integrity of the individual poems—keeping them in the same format as in print, but to offer material beyond the lines. As Wake Forest’s Digital Publishing guru, Bill Kane, puts it, the “beauty of poetry is not just the black ink, but the white space.”
As of now, you can access digital copies of Sleep Lessons by John Montague, A Hundred Doors by Michael Longley, and The Winter Sleep of Captain Lemass by Harry Clifton  as e-books! Not only that, but you can also purchase individual poems from our digital publishing website. The flexibility of downloads is more-than-gradually becoming infinite.
At the Press, we are busy thinking, researching, and designing new ways of providing our Irish poetry lovers with innovative ways of enjoying reading beyond the text.

AND! We want your help! We are currently looking for a catchy name and/or phrase specific to Wake Forest University and Irish poetry that will advertise our specialized e-books. Post submissions here or email them to WFUpress@wfu.edu

Pretty efficiently written article. It’s going to be useful to anybody who employees it, too as me. Maintain doing what you might be doing.
It can be availed for many purposes like: MP3 with recorder, car MP3 players and portable MP3's etc. MP3 players have many advantages like: light weight, the memory capacity, which can store a lot of songs.
